If the fundamentals are correct, the swing will be good. Tiger has good fundamentals on most of his shots. (The swing messes up tells you when a fundamental was not good). THe left arm should be as straight as possible while remaining relaxed to aid accuracy as well. Overall a good video. The :overlapping" grip is actually the Interlocking grip and Tiger and Jack both use it. Overlapping is another name for the Vardon grip.

never put your head down... keep your head up and look down your nose....to clear your chin.... most good players actually move their heads slightly to the right (for a right handed swing) most of all forget about the ball, the ball is not the target its just an object in the path of your swing!

thats not a sign of an improper form/hit. every pro either natrually draws or fades the ball. though they might hit some straight they usually hit it with some movement to it. there is no right way to swing a club. just whatever produces the same shot every time is the best way to swing (as long as that shot is not unplayable like a shank). though tiger wins everything he is not said to have the prettiest swing. the thing he does the best is putt and handle pressure.

Just got back from the range after watching this...wow! I was slicing and fading with occasional fat shots and getting gvery frustrated. I discovered the right hand's grip is probably THE most important element of getting the clubface to roll over correctly. Overlap the right-hand pinky over the left-hand ring finger is important too (was interlocking way too high with my right). Gained 10 yds and lift with each club and even had one guy take a break and watch ME (I'm a 100+ golfer).

Good point, but there's a flip side. A good 300-yard drive is extremely satisfying, but only if it lands in the CORRECT fairway, which is usually my problem. 100+ yard disc drives are not quite as majestic, but they don't tend to wander off as far. :)

What I called 'bad luck' is in being caught on tape doing that and then having it replayed repeatedly to a jeering crowd (if you read the other comments here, you see a lot of people who actually enjoy watching Mickelson keep missing the pitch. Ok, the first shot was bad luck. The next one was possibly a mis-hit. But after that, hitting two more shots like that is just dumb. He has got to play it smart and go for the back of the green and not the pin if he is risking double boggy. Instead he still goes for the pin and gets a 9. That isnt bad luck, that is just poor play. He did keep his cool, so I'll give him that.

Well... anyone who has ever golfed have done the same thing. Not many have the sucky luck to have it caught on tape and replayed over and over again to the jeering crowd of people who can't golf well enough to even make it to the tour in the first place, though. Mickelson makes no excuse for his poor decision, didn't curse, didn't throw his wedge or throw anyone a dirty look. Now... THAT's character. Much more telling than had he holed the first pitch out!

Instead of schools wasting money on sports equipment, replace all sports in gym, and focus on self-defense classes. If the kids wanna do any sports, they can do that shit on their own time.
