I was always putting my foot into do to coin a phrase and we are not supposed to be able to understand non literal speech and writing in my teen and on and still I have still great problems with maintaining friendships both sexes I just can't keeps up with peoples machinations and mood shifts I have managed to alienate all my friends I guess but don't have much trouble establishing such I can't understand what motivates folk there endeavours seem futile to me :( I see broadly not narrowly

The thing is though Dave, I think people should accept anyone into their social circle if they want to join it no matter what disorder they have and if they dont then its not right. Unfortunately life's not like that and you have a right to happiness and friends. Keep searching mate, i've got a few mates and a very nice girlfriend who accepts me for me and doesnt judge me. So keep positive!

I rise to that! I'm 23 going 24 myself and I have AS! I spend alot of time in misery and termoil now over what is to be done! With what can't be! Makes me quite sad! Sadly my social life is not that brilliant and busy at the moment and lately when I have tried it has been a disater zone! Would like to think I am good socialy and I pray for the right one!

I'm 23 n' hav very mild as lik u. They say it spoils ur social life but I still go out clubbin wiv mates @ the weekend n' get pissed. (whn I can afford it lol!)
