We use four latch fasteners to secure the door, three on the side and one at the top. I have not heard about rabbits chewing on the ties. We fasten them so the "knots" are on the outside, and make sure they have plenty of things on the inside that are better to chew than plastic.

We put rugs down on top of the tiles, and our rabbits like them too. We got small, cheap, washable rugs from Ikea for about $3 each. They are on all the floor surfaces except for the bottom. That's where the hay/litter box is, and it's lined with newspaper, as they quite often miss the litter box.

I did not use Coroplast for several reasons: It was quite expensive at my local Rona/Revy store, the large sheets would not fit into my compact car, and I could not find satisfactory information about how to work with the stuff. That's why I used plywood, which they cut for me at Home Depot.

I used to live in Las Vegas during the bubble and the Gov't wouldn't issue BLM land unless the price was high. The issuance of BLM land added to the supply. Yeah yeah yeah, grow some guts. The only damage that isn't petty is human damage. So, Wilma's Miami vacation didn't kill anyone...hence, PETTY. I'm one of the first people out after a storm, in my Jeep, with a winch and a chainsaw clearing roads. I KNOW what happens after and during a storm. I've transported elderly during the first hour of a storm and driven through 50mph winds. So please....grow some cojones. Should everyone try this? No, only experienced and trained individuals. you guys should have been here for Andrew in 92. If you were scared with Wilma...move away...that was NOOOOTHING compared to what I've seen. After Andrew, you learn to laugh at these little baby 'canes...regardless of the petty damage they inflict...they're harmless unless you're an idiot.
